Always get an even figure of money changed so you can add the rate up easily and know how much rupea to expect. Always count it a second time BEFORE y ou leave the counter or sign the receipt. Never let them touch it again after you have counted it. If you concentrate when changing money there should be no problem. Don't be distracted by friends talking or worry about holding up the line. Better safe than out of pocket.
