A client of ours had $100 stolen from one of the money changers as you clear customs, they handed over five US$100 bills, then were asked if the had any small notes to get an more rounded amount in rupiah back, then were asked another question etc etc, then told there was $100 short, they called the police over, the police talked to the money changers in Indonesian and then said, no, you gave them the wrong amount, nothing they could do they started their holiday $100 down. I suggest changing a small amount.
