Smithy we were there in November 2010 as well and we swam in the new pool and ate in the new restaurant? The pool was finished and filled on the 2nd March 2007 (I have a photo) the day we left Bali for that year. Infact my husband was the first one to actually have a beer and dip his toe in the water. The new restaurant was finished by the time we went back in Feb/March 2008. The old reception desk and office area minus the roof, was removed sometime between March and Nov 2010 as we used the old one in Feb/Mar and the new one in Novemember.
