We went rafting with our 10 year old about a week ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. We paid about $30 and rafted the Telaga Waja River.
There were no steps down, taken to a part where we got straight into the raft. We had to get out and walk down a set of steps at one section because it was about a 5m drop - too dangerous for us to go over.
We also had an opportunity to get out of our raft and stand under a waterfall.
The river floor is extremely rocky and really hurt my bare feet (our thongs were tied onto the raft and we were bare footed in the raft). Next time I would suggest some light weight shoes, crocs, sandshoes, volleys, skiing, etc.
Our bag of dry clothes was transported to the change rooms at the end of our rafting and dry towels were provided.
The steps at the end were very narrow, steep and slippery, so quite treacherous.
Son said this was one of the best days of his life - we had a ball.
