We bought a small cheap bottle from a young man in the street many many years ago in Sanur and it tasted like rocket fuel. Wouldnt be doing that these days as I beleive it is laced with some nasty thing and poisonous to drink. One local warung in Sanur used to give you one for free at the end of your meal, hmmmm nice.
Had a couple of shots (straight) in a bar on JL Legian. Can buy it as an "arak attack" cocktail mixed with stuff, but we just wanted a couple of straight ones.
