to keep in mind that if, after you pay for your insurance and before you go on your trip, you are treated for or diagnosed with a condition serious or otherwise you will be covered if you develop any problems while away related to this condition and need treatment overseas. however, if you wait til the last moment to buy insurance, any condition/illness you have is considered a pre-existing condition and you will either need to pay extra to cover this or in some cases no insurance will cover you. for this reason-and the others already discussed it is a good idea to buy insurance as soon as you have definately decided to go!-hope this makes sense!!
