We took our (then) four year old in the rainy season a few years ago and despite almost religious observance of mosquito repellant in the form of personal spray-on, in-room devices and coils outside, she still got a few bites over the course of our two week holiday. It is the tropics after all and nothing provides 100% protection. Personally, after that experience, I wouldn't do take babies or toddlers in the wet season but the mosquito threat is far, far less in the dry season so why not save your trip until later, say April to September (I think but others will know better)? Cheerio, Luke
