We went in April for 1 month last year and I had a 12 week old and 2.5 year old and we are planned to go back in March this year. I have also read this warning on Dengue however I think it can pretty much happen to anyone baby or adult. I took our phil & teds pram which also has a sunshade cover which I used at night if out to protect her, i also bought a device from jaycar which was battery operated and apparently ommitted a sound (we couldn't hear it) to keep mozzies away. I would put this in the bottom of the pram.
They say that you can't put aeroguard or similiar products on babies however i would put a little on the baby as I thought that the risk of dengue would do more damage then the aeroguard.
We also got the hotel to spray our room every second day as we found that the mozzies did tend to like the dark areas in our room especially around the suitcase areas.
We had a fabulous Nanny while over there and I tended to put baby to bed early evening and we would go for dinner while the nanny would stay in the room with the baby.
I can understand your anxiety though, and if you don't think you will relax maybe you should cancel as you probably won't enjoy as much. But if you choose to go, have a great holiday!
