We were there in October and they had finished all the main renovations (deluxe rooms, family rooms etc) and the differnce is huge - the rooms are so much more modern and clean, and really roomy.
We also went in May 2009 when they were starting all the renos and they had blocked off the 2 pool wings of the hotel. The noise was minimal and stopped around 10pm, but there was never any noticable noise after about dinner time. It was actually better when they were doing the renos because the hotel was only half full and there were heaps of free pool chairs each day lol!
