The problem may be caused by
- an improper logoff and not deleting the sites one has visited or logged into with a personal password.
- a spy program installed in the pcs, which record what keys have been used and in which order, even the key strokes for passwords.
- the internet café uses the same password to access the internet for all users there and the pcs have a program to take over or watch what is happening at the other pcs.
- a spy camera installed at the internet café.
Even using one's own laptop at a place with free wi-fi is not safe, if the password given there is one for all.
Any bank should be able to provide the customer with somewhat safe means to access a bank account, like single use logins and passwords to reach one's account.
One's personal laptop or pc should always have a strong firewall plus good spyware and virus protection installed to be as safe as possible. The internet is, unfortunately, not as safe as we tend to believe.
