Not now I wont ! however, it is predicted to go as high as 1.10 in the future. The official rate last Friday was 1.017.
I am going to the Post Office everyday this week to see how much it will cost me to purchase 500 USDs. I know I wont get parity at the moment but close enuf is good enuf for me. And if it increases and overtakes parity, guess what..... I will go and buy MORE !
It is a gamble as to when I decide to purchase them, but for 2 bucks in 100, (if I can get it at that price) im not too concerned. The value I will get back for my future travels is worth a whole lot more than this.
(PS I am planning to do a lot of travelling in the next few years).
If I get .98, that would equate to $98/100, or cost me A$510 to purchase 500USDs.
