The limit from bringing currency into Indonesia is 100 million before you have to get special permission to bring in more.
BUT as everyone else has said, this is poor economics. The AUD would need to drop over 10% against the rupiah for you to win on this transaction. While that is possible, it is more likely not to happen, or at least not to happen to such an extent.
I believe Travelex sell IDR. The rate is about 1200 less than what you will get if you change your $$ in Bali.
