we usually travel in school holidays too. I've learnt from experience to book as soon as they go on special.
Air Asia are usually the only ones that include school holidays in their sales. Might sound crazy but I stay up and book as soon as the specials are released (ie Midnight or 2am). The school holidays usually only go on special once - which is when they release the seats.
