No sure what you mean. Pointless bringing Rp into Aust. If they have money in an account & a card they can access ATM with, then that should be O.K. Totally depends on what you are sponsoring(accomodation, meals, etc) & how long the visit is. I have been told if accomodation, meals & transport are taken care of, then $200 per week is a reasonable amount. Best to meet them at point of entry & if they experience any problems have them tell Immigration you are waiting to pick them up. Customs officers may come out to arrival area & try to find you to ask questions. If your friend doesn't show up after around 2 hrs after flight arrives, go to Customs office & explain you are waiting for them to arrive.

Yes, if that is for a 3 mth stay with meals, accomodation & transport provided by sponsor.

Again, I am not wanting to second guess what Immigration/Consular staff will decide, just going on my past experience.
