two nights - paid in full beforehand and absolutely no problems at all in doing so. It seemed to be quite popular when we were there in May and I would think October would be busier so I would think it would be risky trying on the day IMO. There were certainly heaps of alternative places around walking distance if you try and don't succeed though! We loved the Cendana - very relaxing.
