Well I have to make the assumption you dont have kids and never intending on doing so. I fyou are you might need to make a few attitude adjustments before you have any.

Maybe the problem is not be other peoples children. Maybe you need to lighten up and take 2 good pills of tolerance or even some phenergan to knock yourself out...lol...then you wont hear them.

If you really are unable to tolerate others including children then maybe you can cough up for a private plane or also stay home too.
I find some adults are less considerate than many kids with seat reclining while meals being served, seat kicking, loud ipods and bad beer language.

Ohh and a lot of kids screaming on planes are having ear problems from the pressure. I know my highly sensitive 9 year old struggled with this for the whole 7 hour flight even though we had purchsed him the fancy $20 ear plugs.
