LA SAL - Jln Drupadi
This was my favourite restaurant, although it was a bit wasted as I went alone :( La Sal serves the most beautiful Spanish Tapas and delicious Sangria. The chicken croquettes were amazing. It is a quiet romantic place and a bit expensive once you add drinks, but it was beautiful!
DELICIOUS ONION - Jln Drupadi
Cute little restaurant on Jln Drupadi serving a modern take on asian dishes. And yes, the famous pineapple margarita was delicious!
SORISSO - Jln Drupadi
This little Italian place was very quiet and a good place for a solo traveller to lounge on the couches while reading a magazine. The happy hour cocktails at 30,000rp were fantastic value.
RUMOURS - Jln Laksmana
I had a beautiful pizza at this restaurant. It was very reasonably priced for the area, but I felt it was just too busy and lacked a bit of atmosphere behind the glass front. It seemed to be very popular with families.
KUDETA - Jln Laksmana
I have LOVED Kudeta ever since I went a couple of year ago. It is the coolest place! However, I only went here for a drink once this time, and at $18 a glass for the cheapest glass of sav blanc it was a wise move. I went for breakfast one morning, and I had the best pancakes I have ever had. They had honeycomb and berries and were so yummy. Breakfast is quite reasonably priced by Kudeta standards - a fresh juice and pancakes cost about 120,000rp.
COCOON - Jln Double Six
This appears to be a fairly new place that has opened across from the beach at the end of Double Six. I think they are trying to be a bit Kudeta-ish with the pool, daybeds, etc. We went for sunset cocktails and it was unfortunately very quiet. Hopefully word will start to spread as it looks like it will be a cool place.
SAMAYA - Jln Laksmana
Ange and I went for a sunset drink at the Samaya Resort on the beach at Seminyak. What a stunning place this is! I am already picturing my wedding here (once I find Mr Right!) haha! I had the most massive frozen strawberry daiquiri for 95,000rp and it was worth every dollar!
LA LUCCIOLA - Jln Laksmana
I had read so much about La Lucciola on the forum, so I was keen to go and have a look. We only had a drink here, but I will definitely be putting dinner on the ‘to do' list for next time. Such a beautiful setting and I can see why it gets rave reviews.
SATE BALI - Jln Laksmana
I think this was about the only indonesian I ate in Bali, which I am quite embarrassed to admit. It is fairly pricey for indonesian food, but the mie goreng I had was delicious.
CAFE MOKA - Jln Raya Seminyak
I discovered Cafe Moka on my first day and soon became addicted to the mini coffee eclairs. I think I dropped in here nearly everyday after that so I could have more!
