I have just returned from a 10 day solo trip to Bali. In all of my 18 times to Bali, this was my first time actually staying in Seminyak and I LOVED it! I met a lovely girl called Angela through the forum, and we had some great nights out together. It was a very relaxing holiday of shopping, eating, cocktails and pampering......

FLIGHT TO BALI & VIP VISA
I flew Jetstar from Melbourne. About 30 minutes before boarding time, they announced a delay due to technical difficulties. The delay saw our 6.45pm flight leave after 11.00pm! I guess these things do happen, and Jetstar were quite good in giving us refreshement vouchers for the airport, free food and drink on the flight and then a $50 voucher for our next flight.

We arrived in Bali at about 3.30am, so I guess my pre-booked VIP Visa was wasted as we were the only flight. I had arranged VIP Visa through Murti for $30 AUD and I was actually surprised that someone was still waiting for me after the delay. I must admit I did get a bit frustrated when the guy took my passport away to be processed and I was standing waiting while watching others on my flight leave before I did. I guess it is luck of the draw, but I will definitely use this service again if my flight lands at a busy time.

I had also pre-booked a transfer to Kuta through Murti for 80,000rp. I would normally just get a taxi, but because it was a late arrival and I was on my own I thought I would take the safe option. It ended up that the driver had left due to the delay so I had to get a taxi anyway! This would not have been a problem but the taxi counter was closed so I had to haggle with some very unsympathetic taxi men. They were trying to charge me 200,000rp to Kuta! I was not impressed, but a lone single girl has very little bargaining power at 3.30am and with no alternatives. I finally got them down to 100,000rp.

FLIGHT FROM BALI & PRADA LOUNGE
The flight home from Bali was very uneventful. I arrived at the airport quite early and I am glad I did because the queues everywhere were very long. I had some spare rupiah, so I decided to use the Prada Lounge for 100,000rp. This included some very unappealing food and all you can drink alcohol (including spirits). I am not sure I got much value out of this, but there were a lot of bintang singlet wearers who did!
