I would say in Darwin going to bali and Perth when returning as these are your last and first stops in Australia.
Or actually if you have duty free shops im Melbourne itself you could probably buy it there and pack it in your suitcase and hand the paperwork in at Darwin,but then this will count in your luggage weight allowance.
