You are correct in that TID do not cover damage to the motor bike or any other property, they do however cover you as a rider/driver as well as you as a passenger IF the person riding has a valid lic in the Country in which the bike is being riden. Having had many conversations with TID, and yes it is confusing, my main issue was making sure my son and his friend would be covered for medical costs and I have been assured in writing that they are:)
