We have 2 littlies and for the past 3 trips, this is what we have done to help the kids with protection:
Take a plug-in mozzie zapper.
Dress the kids in long sleeve/bottom lightweight pyjamas and put
the air con on.
We also spray a Lavender Oil mixture on thier pillows and top of
the sheet just before bedtime. You might see of late that you can
buy mozzie coils with lavender infused into them, so the "myth'
does work. We buy a bottle of it at the supermarket, it's about
25% pure, we pour 50% of it into one of those Rexona pump deodorant
bottles and top it with water. At first, my wife was a bit of a sceptic, but when, on 2 cosectutive nights at our hotel, she was
constantly "buzzed around the head" whilst trying to sleep. i sprayed
our bed.............and voila !...no more "buzzing"!
Also be aware of Dengue Fever, that's past onto you by a "Daytime Mozzie".............(when they like to eat, that is...)
Unfortunately, my wife suffered this on our last trip and when i say
suffer, i mean suffer.....
Cheers S
