So far I have had motorcycle leather jackets, gloves and trousers made in Bali. I have not had boots made in Bali.
The gloves were a failure. Despite expressly asking in Indonesian for the gloves to be made from thick leather, the shop near Bemo Corner produced a pair of dress gloves in thin leather.
Puma made a jacket far too tight after the owner of the shop reduced the width of the shoulders by 2" to save leather.
As far as price and quality are concerned, the French Leather Collection in Jalan Sahadewa (Garlic Lane) has produced the best gear for me. I tried to get a quote from Dolphin Leather, but his quote was 60% higher than the French Leather Collection.
If you want plastic cups for knees, elbows and shoulders, than you should bring them from Australia.
