I have been traveling to bali for the last 6 years and alwasy read up on this site, but have never posted, I have decided to put this up as I found this site so helpful.
Where we stayed
This was a short trip for us, we stayed 8 nights at Ramada Bintang, tuban what a beautiful hotel, couldnt fault it room was good pool area beautiful and nice beach front, Breakfast daily was amazing, everything you could think of from bacon, eggs, pancakes, waffles, traditional foods and fruits best I have had in Bali yet.
We hired our mopeds from jimmy near the Kodak shop down the road, best way to get around bali, as traffic is always so slow and is so cheap to hire, we payed for 25,000rp a day, and had a brand new scooter, only 100km on it. We did have international drivers license, and the only time we were pulled up by cops was out in Sanur and they checked our license and let us on our way

Bubba Gumps, a well known favourite
Little Italy, it is up stairs above Mcdonalds next to Mata Hari, Just go up the staircase to the Right of Macdonalds, this is owned by an Italian man who is always in the restarunt serving and chatting to customers and the food is beautiful, the waiters are great and most speak italian, as we were traveling with an Italian family they chatted away tellin us the owner teaches them
Indian, outside Dynasty, beautiful food and must have the chocolate pudding desert comes out on a sizziling plate with hot chocolate sauce.
KuDeTa was amazing, I have read lots of comments about this one, and had to see for ourselves. Was a beautiful location, overlooking the beach, sunset here is amazing, we ate in the restarant, food was good, like a 5 star restarant at home, we had entree, main and dessert and 2 drinks each with dinner for $100 aus each. Next time may sit out the front and have pizza. Was worth seeing and would come back even to sit for a drink.
Imori, im not sure on the spelling but a nice Italian restarant, had nice pizza and pasta here.
We had seafood at the place next to stadium bar, which is all one owner, beautiful fresh seafood you pick oout of the tank, also does nice asian dishes.
Breakfast at Flapjacks, the pancakes are amazing here, all sorts of flavours, I had beautiful crepes and they do other lunch meals We also stopped for ice cream here which was nice.
Shopping
As we have been to bali many times, we didnt do alot of shopping, we purchased some canvas paintings, nice sizes for the house for between 200,000 and 400,000Rp and they roll them up well to bring home, we have had them put onto frames back home.
Visited Discovering Plaza and purchased some beautiful lamps on the second floor, and some wooden statues
On our visit to Matahari had our feet eatin by little fish, feet felt great afterwards.
Purchased some nice cusion covers at a little store, beautiful silk fabric and only $3 each
Visited Ketut for some sarongs, she is as busy as ever, great stuff and fixed prices is great if you cant be bothered battering in the streets.
Went out to denpasar for some shopping also
Both myself and my patner had tattoos down at Buddah Face tattoo studio, Agung and his brother now have 4 studios in bali, we visit the one just off Legian street, look them up on facebook for some inspiration, have thousands of photos, we have been before and many friends have had tattoos here they do a great job and very sterile, If you are thinking of a tat in bali do some research, there is now 400 studios in bali, and have heard some horror stories, of sharing needles
We took the scooters down to ulawatu, visited dreamland and went to Blue point, hotel here is stunning, and would be perfect for a wedding.
Spent much time relaxing by the pool and having massages great time in bali, as always
Have just booked to go back next year in June, Air ais return only $200 each so now hunting for a nice villa in seminyak for 10ppl, any suggestions would be welcomed
