Would love to hear any experiences, stories, suggestions, tips or advice from anyone who has done this in part or full.
Hubby & I have full aussie bike licences & I thought this maybe an adventure. No plans as yet just an idea to investigate. Maybe hire a bike for part of the trip (so need to return it) & a car for part trip. Can this be done or are you only going around in circles?
Would like to know:-
cc size required to ride up around mountains?
Areas to visit?
Direction of travel?
Time needed?
Time of year to travel on a bike?
Has anyone taken their own bike over from Oz?
Luggage - types of backpacks to carry around on your back all day, weatherproof?
Any other info

I know this is a pretty open ended question but it is a starting point for ideas then I can ask more specific questions later.
