your neck, and then when in Bali put it in the hotel safety box. Also I get the little plastic money bags from the Bank and put a sticker on each one for each area I am travelling in, i.e. Kuta, Amed etc. and write a total amount on the sticker.
As I take out cash I then cross out the last amount and put the new total. This helps you keep track of the $100 notes you have (easy to forget you have taken a couple out sometimes). Saves you stressing about whether money has been 'taken' and keeps track of your totals.
Also take credit cards x 2 which I put money onto and there is a bank I go to in Sanur that with my passport ID I can withdraw up to 10 million rupiah for a small fee. Saves me multiple ATM withdrawals, although now I have a NAB gold account non credit card I can use and not get ATM fees (see someone's earlier post about this card, used it all over Europe and it was great for the once a month $10 fee, just deactivate it when you don't need it for travel when back home).
Please make sure that you don't carry too much cash or ALL your cards in your strong/ across the body shoulder bag, as there has apparently been more bag snatching/thefts in Bali of late, cause that stress could really wreck your well earnt holiday.
If you are travelling with another person, one carry the card and split up any cash you are carrying on you when out and about. Hope these hints help. have fun in Bali.
