and it is quite natural, I think, after a long serious illness to question lots of things about mortality etc etc.
Your question is quite valid. I think it is very possible that there will be other terrorist attacks in Bali as elsewhere in Indonesia. I hope not but would not be surprised.
I still go, spending about 1/3 sprox of each year there and I feel the odds of being not in that particular place at that particular moment are still way in my favour.
I must admit that I think it is only a question of time until there is some terrorist action in Australia too. I don't think about it much and don't feel fearful or weighed down by my belief but I just think it is reality. The "new normal" if you like.
I also don't think the Indonesian army/anti terror unit have done a bad job catching and executing the three "Bali bombers" and since then seeming to shoot terrorists "during arrest" rather that let it go to trial with all the attendant attention. Of course on the negative side of the ledger we have to hope if they are going to shoot first and ask questions later that they get the right person!
If in Australia I think Noordin Top, Amrozi etc would be sitting comfortably in remand still awaiting trial.
OK back down off my soapbox now!
