How long is a piece of string?
Will the AUD improve or lessen in value to the USD?
If the AUD reduces to .82 from current .92, will AUD also reduce at same proportion to Rp?
AUD is currently worth about 8000Rp, if the AUD reduces in value to the USD, will the AUD reduce to 7000Rp?
Dealing in currency is big risk?
So many variables.
What happens if there is another attack.
Another financial crisis?
Change of Government and policies?
Maybe our dollar will continue to improve.
They said a year or so ago that we could reach parity with the AUD USD. They also suggested our AUD could reduce to .50.
At the moment US$1000 will cost you about au$1086, if the value of our $ drops to .82 against the USD then it would cost you au$1220 for the same us$1000 (Not allowing for costs to change currencies).
There is no-one who could reliably predict what will happen in 6 or 8 months time else we would all sell up, buy currency, resell and make a squillion.
Are you currently getting interest on your $1086? If you get 5% for the next 8 months, thats about $4.50 per month (less tax on interest)
