about some of the points you make and that is why I tried it.

I would have expected lots of people to be using this service but in fact on my full AA flight there were only 2 of us and one other gent using another service.

You can start to think that the VIP service is getting out of control but a full AA night flight and only 3 people using VIP says to me that its not really wide spread knowledge with hordes rushing to using it , we just think it "is" because its mentioned so often on this forum.

People on the bus were fighting to get out first and make a bee line to the arrivals hall ahead of others. This is the middle of the stress period, the stress starts before you land planning a way to beat the crowed to the desk, then multiplies when you find a long queue already there.

A casual stroll to arrivals to be met by a friendly rep basically led out to pick up luggage and then straight to transport was stress free.

This is an excellent service for people with fears of arriving in a foreign airport for the first time, not knowing which way to go or what to do.
