Went on a Quad/Buggy Tour. This was great, although Son stacked his quad and it cost us to compensate the villagers for their ‘broken grass' (a sapling). When the guide told me this I thought 'Oh no', but when I asked how much and he told me 20,000rp, I was quite relieved. I guess it's a way for the farmers to make a few extra $ and cost me about $3. Pretty cheap really. BTW Son was fine & we all got a bit of a laugh. Hubby must have thought he was a rally driver, as coming up to the last big puddle, he floored it. The resulting mud spray tan was quite a sight.
We also did Canyon Tubing on the same day, after a really nice buffet lunch. This was really good as well. We chose this over Rafting, as Hubby has some back issues and we all had a great time. It was also good to wash off the spray tan!
We spent a day at Safari Park. This was a great place, especially if you have younger kids. After doing a bit of a lap of the park and the included activities, my kids had had enough and wanted to go home (I wonder if the fact that one of them was suffering from the previous nights fun and excitement had anything to do with that!) We organised a Leopard Package for the day which was good. Although if we were to go again, I would probably choose a different one (I think the Rhino) as the included lunch - at Uma Restaurant - was very disappointing for all of us. But overall, it was still a very good day.
Before leaving for our trip, I had made a bit of a list of things we would try to do or see. Unfortunately, we didn't get to everything and will just have to drag ourselves back there to finish the list.
I think this trip has started something. We have booked to go back in September for a week to investigate some business opportunities. I can't see us doing much R&R this time, but I'm sure we'll squeeze in some nightly foot massages and some great dinners.
The love affair has begun!
