I used my iphone in Bali in May and had no problems at all using a bali sim.
So to ring an Australian landline if the prefix is 01017
02 4256xxxx = 01017 61 24256xxxx
Mobile 040317xxxx = 01017 61403xxxx
This was costing us 3000rp minute
If you are texting to a mobile in Australia there is no need for the cheap prefix, just use +61 texting to australia was costing 600rph per text.
I hope this helps.
I know I get confused everytime at first even though we have done it a few times. Now I have it written in my Bali notebook that I take with me so I can work it out.
