Just got off the AA red eye from Bali to Perth.
Gili T was fantastic and now Bali is just a stepping point for the Gilis and Lombok in our future trips.
Anyone considering the Gilis just go for it.
Not really suitable for children as there isnt much for them to do other than swim, snorkel, relax and eat.
Gili T "The Party Island"???? not sure where it got that label? it just has more visitors than Meno and Air.
As many "wealthy" Europeans as backpackers staying there this time of year but not many Australians?
I have never seen so many fit, healthy, beautiful, well dressed and manured people,I am only 87 kilos and I was the fattest person I see there :( It made me very conscious of my bad life style until I got to Kuta, then I was amongst the slimmest and healthiest so could get stuck into the Bintangs again lol. Not a dig at larger people but this place could seriously depress the self conscious weight watcher.
Best trip in a while and the hustle and bustle/traffic of Kuta actually annoyed me for the first time ever and wished we stayed on Gili T until the flight home.
No motorized vehicles and friendlier locals than Bali is what keeps this place perfect.
