We stayed at the Peneeda View in June and really enjoyed it. Some people complain about the location but i really liked it. We could easily walk to Hardy's within 5 minutes for supplies. There was a great restaurant opposite called Coriander and many other restaurants on the way to Hardys. We walked down to Bonsai and sindhu markets etc and yes it is a walk but we and our 7 and 9 yr olds managed it. We could also walk in the opposite direction to Massimo and many other restaurants and along the beach path to Donalds and Bobbies on the beach. Therefore thats why i liked the location as i thought it was accessible to both ends of sanur. The hotel was nice not luxury but nice and all the staff and other guests were friendly. We had a family 2 bedroom villa which was nice and quite big. The bathrooms were huge. Out toilet did smell a bit but we had friends there which didn't have this problem. Breakfast was basic but enough. It's not a buffet you order off the menu. There are 3 pools but the back two not the beach pool are the nicest/bigger pools. It was a quiet and relxing hotel. We did walk through the Besakih and liked the pool area better as it was one big and a smaller pool right on the beach front. We didn't see the rooms so can't comment. We will consider staying there next time but i would be more than happy to stay at the peneeda view again. We did a JBR when we got back so if you go to the archives and put our name in it should come up. Enjoy your time in Bali.
