name, contact of the tailor would be fantastic! With any of your contacts in karangasem government are they able to do anything re establishing a doctor / health clinic service of some type to the people on the mountain? A dental service of some kind would also be beneficial. The villagers don't seem to fear western medicine, just can't afford a visit, treatment or access a doctor. They just go to the hindu priest for advice. I don't know the first thing about liasing with banjar, government etc to try to assist the remote village people with basic health needs meant to prevent deaths - especially through childbirth. Goitre removal operations is yet another concern, with the very real situation of one of Made's aunts looking at death within the next couple of years. She has no money for the op as it is 12,000,000. Thanks again for all your advice and encouragement, jan
