but, to me, their food has improved big time. Particularly I love their martabak (sp?) which is as good as any I have had from stall or warung and I do love martabak, I really do. Their rendang also is good now and for lovers of Western style pub food they do a platter which is a bit like a ploughman's lunch, even including home made pickled onions. Didn't have it myself but Brian did and I tasted a pickled onion and they were just like my old mum used to make.

I don't even look at the menu. In fact I jog up the street chanting "Martabak, martabak, martabak" a lot like those American marines in movies jogging along with their rifles above their heads chanting something like "We're all running for Uncle Sam blah blah blah". That would be minus the rifle, uniform and a desire to do anything for Uncle Sam.

Once I shared martabak and Thai Fish Cakes and the fishcakes were very good too but I did feel a little resentful about sharing my martabak.

This is an entrant in the forum and all comers "who can say martabak the most in one post." competition.
