My girl friend had some soft camembert cheeses in her hand luggage and at the Perth end, the customs officers confiscated them as a 'gel'......now I don't understand that logic, as far as I am concerned a cheese is a solid, neither a gel or a liquid!
Perhaps the customs guys were feeling hungry that shift?
So if I take in cheese I always pack into suitcase and declare it as food stuffs and so far, no problem getting through at the Bali end.
