When we ate there there were usually a few tables with what I would classify as little kids some even in strollers. As the restaurant is quite large and open plan there's lots of space - it's not like you need to fear knocking into someone or getting in the way. They don't have a kids menu as such but they have a wide variety of food some western and some indonesian.
Personally I'd feel more comfortable at Charming at night than having to focus on what my kids were up to on the beach!
Be aware you should book as it can be quite full during peak season. You should also check out its website. Hope all goes well.
