Friday, Day 3

I got to have proper brekky this morning, was good!

We couldn't get one hotel for our whole stay so today we have to check out & move to Puri Raja.

After brekky we grabbed a taxi to Garlic Lane, as I wanted to get a leather jacket made. Ended up going to Dolphins as I couldn't find the other couple of places which were
recommended here. I had a jacket made her last time, so I knew the quality was good. Ended up really nice. Cost was $150. We also wanted to get a pair of leggins made for
K cos she ripped a hole in hers last night! Found a tailor Leons, in a gang off Garlic Lane. After a while of him looking through his bags of material he decided he would have to
buy the fabric & charge us a small fortune, cos he has to buy fabric by the kilo! We said no thanks & wandered off down GL. After a few minutes K heard someone yelling my name!!!!
Leon (not his real name but I can't remember it!) was chasing us down the road to tell us he found a bag of the fabric! Back to his shop & deal done.

We walk down Legian St as I wanted to check out a handbag shop which was great last time I was in Bali. Yes, I know things change in 5 years! So did the shop, nothing good there.

Kept walking down Legian & K bought a pandora charm for one of her friends. Was cheap.

Got a taxi up to Bali Deli for a coffee & cake. The cakes weren't as good as I remembered them either, but it may have been cos I was minorly stressing about getting back to the
hotel in time to check out. Probably didn't need to worry, it's Bali after all. Got back in time, checked out, taxi to Puri Raja & of course room wasnt' ready.

No problem, we had our welcome drink by the pool and sat there for probably 30 or so minutes.

We both felt that PR had a much nicer feel to it than KP. The staff at PR were extremely friendly, and we saw alot of those big grins. The room was probably comparable to KP, if
not a bit smaller, but PR put frangipani's on our beds every day, and we saw lots of those smiles. There wasn't anything wrong with KP, the staff were just serious I suppose.
The other thing we liked about PR was that it felt more alive. Everyone is different of course, and many people prefer KP.

Taxi to Carrefour to get some goodies & a dvd player. One of ours at home stopped working, and I also felt it more worthwhile to buy one to use in Bali rather than hire one.

We had arranged for Jimmy Gorgeous to take us to Jimbaran Bay for dinner & to do his magic show. Met him in the foyer at 5pm. He took us to Langam, which is where Sharkies used
to be. Lovely food & lovely place. There was a big group of people near us who were all dressed in yellow!! There were around about 10 adults & the same number of kids. They looked
like they had a blast! If you "Yellow People" are reading this, you all looked awesome & I'd love to know why!!!

I'd been to Jimmy's magic show in the past, and had kind of teased K for years. She loved it!!!! I won't give the game away in case anyone wants to go, but she clicked too fast
on the final trick!!!!! Smart girl that one! Also, it's probably best to do the show in a group bigger than 2.

We got Jimmy to take us to his dvd shop where we stocked up, and I mean stocked up! Jimmy took us home & we watched a movie before bed.

Saturday, Day 4

Chilled by the pool after brekky then walked to Melasti Markets. Had lunch at Billy's. I had a club sandwich which turned out to be a habit! We took our shopping home & then taxi'd
to Discovery. Wandered around for a while & eventually made our way to Bianca's in Padma Utara to watch the Eagles beat Essendon & Mark Le Cras kick 12 goals!!! Great venue there, they
had 2 AFL games on different screens & a rugby game on another. Ordered dinner there at half time, food was fine.

Back to hotel & started to watch One Tree Hill. Sigh, she got me hooked on another new series.

Sunday, Day 5

While we were with Jimmy the other day, he mentioned the Safari Park. We hadn't thought we would do any tours but K was keen so we booked Jimmy for Sunday. Met him at 8.30, after
brekky. The Safari Park was $35 US each to get in which I thought was pretty good. We were there till 4pm & it's just the most fantastic place. It's so well planned & well worth a
visit. Got pics with elephants, baby orangutang, tiger etc etc! We had lunch at the Lion restaurant, where you can see the lions sunning themselves right outside your table! Through
thick glass of course! Apparently there are other packages you can get to get more stuff, but we were happy with the basic deal.

Dinner at Nero's, fruit platter at Bianca's & back for more One Tree Hill.

Will do more later!
