7 days, 6 nights = Not enough time! We stayed at the Pelangi Hotel and Spa in Seminyak, and the only fault was the towels are old! The service, food, accomodation, pool, views etc were amazing! Just around the corner from there, we found a laneway with about 10 shops. Just about anything could be found there and the favourite shop was where Norm was. What an absolute legend of a man! If you want to have a cultural kind of day, Sudy, the man who picked us up from the airport arranged the perfect day. Pick up from hotel at 8:30am. Went to a Balinese Dance / Play, Art Gallery, Silver Making and Shop, Wonderful restaurant for lunch overlooking the rice paddies, Bali Marine and Safari Park for an amazing safari day including elephant ride and back to the motel at around 7pm. Would have been earlier home but traffic was horrific with the road works. The day in total cost around AU$100, not including lunch. Well worth it. Best value for money though was the Sunset Bali Hai Cruise, which Sudy also organised for us. Motel transfers, welcome lei and drink on arrival at harbour, full international buffet dinner and dessert, live entertainment on while watching sunset and eating followed by caberet show that was SENSATIONAL. Finished up with disco on board, and for those that didn't want disco, ongoing entertainment on upper decks. Lasted about 3 hours, all for AU$50. Complete bargain and if you have the chance to go, you would be crazy to miss it. It was the perfect way to finish up a wonderful week. Money wise, I only took Australian Dollars and some rupiah that I swapped at Melbourne airport. Wish I had of waited until arriving in Bali as the rate was much better there. I only changed cash at the motel as I was a bit nervous about changing on the street, and the rate was 7500. On the street it was around 7800. Not much difference really. I could write for hours about the fun we had while away, but I won't bore you all.
