jimbaran is the biggest rip off in Bali, if you really must go for whole fish grilled then go to Sharkeys at the western end of the beach, not far from the airport, it is on its own road well away from the others. The very worst is at the 4 seasons end of the beach, they all pay commission to hotel receptions, taxi drivers, etc in some cases up to 50% so the menu prices are all doubled, sometimes even in $US!!!! As there are more than 100 places battling for business, during bad weather the fish is not fresh, they do not feed the mud crabs so when cooked there is no flesh.
Eat seafood in a real restaurant or at Sharkeys [Australian owned] where they at least try to do it right.
