as you turn right onto Rum Jungle Rd (also known as Jalan Pura Bagus Taruna or Jl Werkedura) from Jl Padma Utara there is a Kodak shop/money changer just 1 or 2 shops from the corner. There is a small stand of handbags/wallets/watches etc just inside the entrance.
We changed money daily last Jul/Aug & then several times in Jan. We changed large amounts more than once (to pay for accommodation) & not once was any shonky business attempted :o)
