About 10 of us jumped into the type of bus you are describing, although not open air. We caught it from Legends in Garlic lane to Paddy's and the driver was happy with Rp. 10,000 per head.
The bus was one of those coloured ones with the pictures painted on the side. It had flashing lights and a loud sound system. Although not the same as you are doing, but closer than any other reply so far.
