Yes we stayed there last week.
I don't know anything about the legalities written about in The Bali Post. It is true they don't have any signs out the front or room numbers on the rooms which can obviously cause some problems. Drivers find it hard to find and they need good directions involving Sienna and Bonsai Villas locations.
We each walked into the wrong room at least once...they have tinted windows and all look alike. Wasn't a problem for us as we were all family but watch out if you are staying there alone!!
When we suggested signs and room numbers they said they were being made.
There are six apartments altogether. One doesn't really qualify even for a hotel room. It is tiny and was quite disappointing; barely bigger than the bed. Above that upstairs is a studio apartment.
Along the long side of the property are four apartments; two double storey, mezzanine style rooms in the middle (open bedroom upstairs, kitchen, lounge and outdoor bathroom downstairs.) On either end are the two bedroom apartments. These are very spacious with a huge lounge kitchen area in the middle of two bedrooms that each have their own open bathroom.
The pool is long and runs the length of the property.
We enjoyed our time there and would return. Can't remember how much we paid but it was quite good value. We booked through Nicki.
Hope all that helps.
