Just got back from spending 2 weeks in the lovely Bali, have not been there for a few years so really enjoyed seeing the changes, some good and some bad.
The thing that hit me the most was all the new hotels going up, looks a bit too concretey for me, i like all the gardens and the old style hotels.
I was very impressed with all the new coffee shops around, as i am a coffee holic, i tried many so here are my findings:-
Tommy's..... great iced coffee and very cheap
The Coffee shop....fantastic, loved the latte's and ice cappuccino.
Mugshot....OK did not like being served by westerners in Bali, and a little pricey.
The Coffee corner.... great! a little like Gloria jeans and same prices you would pay in Australia.
The verdict.....The Coffee Shop, good taste, good variety, good price and most of all great staff.
Spas
Melasti Spa.....very nice to spoil your self, girls are lovely.
Carla Spa..... ok for a cheapy.
Luna spa... very nice, still cheap and very busy.
Briella.... Very much the same as Luna, in price, the massages are not as nice and relaxing as Luna.
The verdict....Melasti spa even though its more pricey.
Tattoo's
The best has to be Ibuds tattoo.
I also had a spray tan while in Bali which i found at The Coffee Shop i waited until i was going home just in case i went orange, it was the best spray tan i have every had, better than in Australia.
My children would also like me to say that the burgers at The Coffee Shop are the best in the world lol, but loved the fruit drinks at The Coffee Corner (a bit pricey) but very tasty.
