Your driver probably got commission (70%), if you go to the Muaya Beach Cafes you should pay no more than 100,000rp per person including non-alcoholic drinks, there are about 20 restaurants to choose from. Drivers are notorious for taking you to the places at the top of the bay and there the restaurant gives you a different menu if you have a driver.
Or you just had a bad day but I believe you did not go to the restaurants near the Four Seasons end of the beach as they do not overcharge or cremate their food.
For a honeymoon, I agree the Sharkeys couples night, more expensive but value for money.
