at the Novotel. Anywhere in central KL is a LONG way from the airport as it is abou 75km from the city. We had a two night stopover at the Novotel, arriving with Air Asia from Melbourne at 7am and leaving on a flight two days later at 7am. Note both of these were from LCCT which is the terminal for Air Asia.
If your stopover is much less than 24 hours and unless you are keen to see KL is a long way to go inot town, although comparatively cheap to get there on the bus. On the way home, we arrived in KL at 7.40pm and were leaving at 1.30pm the next days. Allowing for time to get through the customs etc after arrival and early check in for departure, we decided that it was not worth it. We tried to get into the Tune hotel, but booked out. Then we tried the Jawadene B and B but also booked out. Finally got inot the Concorde Inn near the KLIA airport about 20mins away, but still easier than going into town. This reminded me of a big old country motel in Australia, but cost about $80 Aus a night! Breakfast was included but uninspiring. Gardens and pool were very pleasant.

Novotel was in a great location, rooms were adequate, but I did not think it was up to the standard of Novotels I have stayed in elsewhere. We stayed there because I got a good prices on a promotion as an Accor member.

If you happen to be flying Air Asia, I was very impressed with them. Food was average, but all else was very good. (Especially the price.... we got the $99 special last year, Melbourne to KL!)
