Hi all, another great holiday in Bali, stayed at Puri Raja in Legian, got 2011 prices whilst there and they have gone up again!, they now want US$95 A NIGHT IN LOW SEASON!!!.Seems all beachfront hotels prices are on the rise, will have to look around for next year. Had great time lounging around and eating, lots of surfing and generally taking it easy. Now I will probably get flammed, but the 2 places we ate that were not acceptable were Tommy's and Mozzarella, Tommy's took 1 1/2 hours for 2 salad rolls ( we did this twice to see if 1st was a mistake) and Mozzarella, although busy we waited for 1hr 15 mins for all mains except mine which took 1 hr 40mins after repeated request for meals fell on deaf ears, good food but not worth the wait.Met some great people at the resort for the 3rd time and also at Sammi and Suzie's incl Roo -Ted, a real charater. Flew over jet stink and home with what we now call vermin blue, who at the last minute sent us back to Sydney via Melbourne, the trip took over 11 hours, small plane, ordinary staff, NEVER AGAIN. Will look to go back with Garuda next year. Found Warung Kartini, great find, sensational seafood at very cheap prices, tucked away behind Sri Ratu, but well worth the trip down the back alleys.Girls bought lots of jewellry, from markets,Silver berry and on the beach, also bought pearls form Sarafudin.Prices seem to have gone up from last year but still cheap compared to a holiday at home, aslo sellers in Poppies 1 and 2 very stubborn with prices.Got great leather goods from Dolphin Leather and great clothes made at House of Komangs.
Once again thanks to all on the BTF members who gave good info and to all the one's we met, now saving for 2011 and Bali Blues already set in.
