Walk out of Novotel, across the road is Mini Restaurant. Ate there last week, big portions, good tucker, if you order the Schnapper you get two. Excellent choice on menu.

Next door, used to be La Mer, was there last week, gotta new name now ( memory fade ) begins with Mer, good tucker, good choice on menu, large portions.

Next one up the road Cadoman, used to be Sea Queen, got a boat on the roof. This used to be a favourite, only used it once this time , prices up portions down, left feeling hungry. Nothing wrong with the food.

50 metres further up Casablanca. Our favourite. Say no more.

La Scala, was there on opening night 7 years ago, vowed we would never go back but we did last week, no problems if you avoid the spaghetti.

The Tree and Green Leaf. Both offer a pick up and return service.

Green Leaf has only just opened ,the staff were as green as the name, probably needs time to settle in. Food a bit on the cool side.

The Tree. What a bloody beauty. Ambience excellent, menu extensive, servings generous, price OK. Blown away to see cottage pie and bangers and mash on the menu. Had the cottage pie, lovely crusty top, plenty of goodies inside.

Tropical. Pick up and delivery service. Just outsde the Nusa Dua gates on the left. ( Not the one on the right.) There comes a time in avery visit to Bali when, after all the rice you just gotta eat quality meat. The pork ribs at this joint are to die for as is the imported steak which goes well with the baked spuds, there is a very extensive menu ( with photographs.) There's another Tropical in tbe Bali Collection. They run us there in the car and we have sweets and coffee. Sweet selection is amazing.

Breakfasts at Novotel, there are two egg ladies, the different sizes of them equate to Laurel and Hardy, ask the larger of the two for Eggs Benedict. Ask the smaller one how the English lessons are going with her daughter.

That's it
