One night cap too many saw the day start a little later and a little slower than planned! As we were staying in a private apartment we needed to find a spot for breakfast. Wandered out the front of the Jayakarta and into Jl Werkudara where we found Yut'z. Nice little restaurant and most importantly close.

Caught up later with 19yo and GF for the obligatory first day walk around. Spent the afternoon and early evening drinking Bintang on the beach and watching the sunset down at Sunset Stubby beach bar (near the beach exit from Inna Kuta Hotel). Wayan and Made were their usual friendly, entertaining selves and the roasted corn went down a treat.

Next day was Zanzibar for brekky which we agreed was the pick of the restaurants around the Jayakarta. Others we frequented were Blue Ocean (I think thats the name), Lanai and Tommy's. Didnt have a bad meal anywhere.

Lunches and dinners were spread around too and included Havana Club (recommend the skewers for big eaters!), Secret Garden, TJ's, Bubba Gump's and Hard Rock (funny how the kids all want to go out to the last two when I was paying!!!!). Overall, the best meal we had was Gateway to India at Bemo Corner. Some of the best Indian I have ever had!

Bali was busy due to Aussie holidays and Indo holidays happening at the same time. Traffic was bad - taxis were plentiful but it took a long time to travel anywhere.

Part 3 to follow - shopping (yawn!) and other adventures.
