.. you could go to the Jimbaran Seafood Markets in the morning (which I have done & highly recommend for anyone interested in food for a look-see at least) & buy some seafood - el cheapo. Your hotel restaurant or a restaurant you like would no doubt be happy to cook the seafood for you at a fraction of the price of the rip off places at Jimbaran Bay. Just sort it out in advance. It adds to the meal when you have chosen the food yourselves. Worth thinking about.

Buying from the markets you would get the freshest seafood. You can see the boats coming in & unloading their catches - nothing fresher. There is a cornucopia of seafood - never seen such a wide range. Even my husband, who I dragged there kicking & screaming, had a great time. Anything & everything & all sooo fresh. I love the place.

THE best seafood I have ever had in Bali was at the Kuta Night Markets - very cheap but superb - choose what you want from the ice buckets. Near the Chinese Temple - close to Kuta Square environs. Definitely NOT fancy & the loos are vile but WOW, great seafood (my fave is Warung Strawberry). Also a fruit stall for afters.
