There is a village called Sukarara to the east of Mataram.

At Sukarara, there is a huge tourist shop selling wood carvings, jewellery and weaving etc.

I you take the Perama bus from Mataram to Kuta Lombok, the bus will stop there in the hope that you will buy something.
